FAQs about Casa Rosada Tours

Which airport is closest to Casa Rosada and how do I get there?

Jorge Newbery Airfield (AEP) is the closest, just 15 minutes away by taxi or Uber. For international flights landing at Ezeiza (EZE), expect a 45-minute drive. Avoid peak rush hours between 8 AM and 10 AM. Use official radio taxis or ride-sharing apps for safety. Public buses are cheap but crowded with luggage.

What is the best time of year to visit Casa Rosada to avoid rain?

Plan your trip between March and May or September and November for mild weather and lower rainfall. Summer months from December to February often bring sudden storms and high humidity. Winter is dry but can be chilly. Always check the weekly forecast before booking outdoor tours of the plaza.

Do I need a special pass to enter the Casa Rosada museum?

No special pass is required for the museum, but entry is free only on weekends and holidays with prior online reservation. Weekday visits require a guided tour booked weeks in advance through the official government portal. Bring a printed ticket and valid photo ID. Security checks are strict; allow extra time for screening.

Is it safe to walk around Plaza de Mayo near Casa Rosada at night?

Stick to well-lit main streets and avoid empty side alleys after dark. While the plaza itself is patrolled, pickpocketing occurs in crowds. Use trusted transport for returns to your hotel in San Telmo or Puerto Madero. Keep valuables hidden and stay alert during political demonstrations which frequently occur here.
