What is the best time of day to visit the Avenue of Stars for photos?

Visit just after sunset during the blue hour to capture the harbor lights and the Symphony of Lights show. Weekdays offer fewer crowds than weekends. Avoid midday due to harsh sunlight and high humidity. Bring a tripod for long-exposure shots of the skyline reflections on the promenade water features.

How do I get to the Avenue of Stars from Hong Kong International Airport?

Take the Airport Express train to Kowloon Station, then walk ten minutes via the Elements mall to the waterfront. Alternatively, use the S1 bus to Tung Chung MTR and transfer to the Tung Chung Line. Taxis cost around 300 HKD and take thirty minutes without traffic. Avoid rush hour when Cross-Harbor Tunnel congestion delays road transport significantly.

Is the Avenue of Stars accessible during heavy rain or typhoon season?

The promenade often closes partially during Typhoon Signal Number 8 or higher for safety. Heavy rain in summer months (June to September) can make stone surfaces slippery. Check the Hong Kong Observatory website before visiting. Indoor alternatives nearby include the K11 MUSEA shopping complex, which offers harbor views without exposure to weather elements.

Can I touch the handprints of celebrities on the Avenue of Stars?

Yes, visitors are encouraged to touch and photograph the bronze handprints embedded in the pavement. However, do not climb on statues or use abrasive cleaners on the plaques. Respect barriers around newly installed installations. The site is free to enter, but avoid littering as fines apply under local environmental protection ordinances enforced by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
