Best Austrian Parliament Building Tours from Luzern

Both the National and Federal Councils meet in this building near Hofburg Palace. Built from 1873 through 1883 by Theophil Hansen, the Parliament Building includes over 100 rooms and rich decoration both inside and out. In front of the building stands the statue of Athena above its fountain. Inside, the rooms contain paintings, statues and chandeliers after having been restored to their original glory after the WWII bombings. The Parliament Building is also where the President of Austria is sworn in and where he delivers the state speech on National Day.
