Mattituck is a hamlet located in the Town of Southold. The name Mattituck is believed to have been deprived from the Native American name of "Great Creek." The first residents of Mattituck were the Corchaug Native Americans before it was eventually settled by English colonists. Mattituck hosts an annual Strawberry Festival which is held on the 30 vineyards Mattituck has.
