The 80-foot waterfall in Jasper National Park is located on the upper Athabasca River and the force of the rushing water is quite powerful. Athabasca Falls are surrounded by numerous trails and viewpoints. They are located near the town of Jasper and the Icefields Parkway. The falls are often a starting point for whitewater rafting during the summer.
