9-Day South America Samba Tour from Rio de Janeiro: Iguassu Falls and Buenos Aires

The samba show on day 4 was the highlight of my trip. The dancers wore colorful costumes and the drums were loud and exciting. The group had a table near the stage. My only suggestion is to add a stop at a churrascaria (Brazilian steakhouse) for dinner - the included meals were good but basic.

FAQs about Buenos Aires Tours

What is the best time of year to visit Buenos Aires to avoid rain and crowds?

Visit Buenos Aires in spring (September to November) or fall (March to May) for mild weather, fewer crowds, and minimal rainfall. These months offer pleasant temperatures and vibrant foliage or blooming jacaranda trees. Avoid winter peak months when fog and cooler conditions are common.

Which district in Buenos Aires is safest and most convenient for first-time tourists?

Palermo is the safest and most tourist-friendly district, offering well-lit streets, police patrols, and easy access to dining, parks, and public transit. Recoleta and Puerto Madero are also secure with upscale accommodations and key attractions nearby.

How do I get from Ministro Pistarini Airport (EZE) to downtown Buenos Aires affordably?

Take the official shuttle Bus Turístico Aeroparque–Ezeiza or remis (prepaid taxi) from EZE to downtown for approximately 3,500–4,500 ARS. Alternatively, ride the Emetre shuttle to Terminal 4, then transfer to the 86 or 160 bus for a low-cost option.

Is the Buenos Aires Ciudad Pass worth it for tourists visiting museums and tours?

Yes—the Buenos Aires Ciudad Pass offers free or discounted entry to over 70 attractions, including MALBA and the Teatro Colón. It also includes guided tours and fast-track access. Purchase online or at tourist centers for 3-, 5-, or 7-day validity.
