Escape to Yellowknife for 3 days of aurora adventure, chasing the Northern Lights through the vast Canadian wilderness. Enjoy free time on your own to explore the area during the day, rest up in a convenient and comfortable local hotel, and set out at night with a guide to track down the aurora borealis.
Day 1: Arrival & Aurora Hunting Tour
Get picked up at the Yellowknife airport or in town and check into your hotel. Once darkness falls, set out for 4 hours of aurora-hunting adventure, admiring and snapping photos of the Northern Lights in far-flung corners of the Canadian wilderness.
Day 2: Free Time & Aurora Hunting Tour
Spend the day on your own in Yellowknife, opting to take part in various tours, cultural visits, and outdoor activities if you'd like, and then head out after dark for another night of chasing the Northern Lights.
Day 3: Checkout
Check out of your hotel to keep exploring on your own or get dropped off at the airport.
- 16:00pm is hotel check in time not tour starting times.
- Upon arrival your tour guide will give you latest itinerary with your reserved tours.
- Typically all aurora tours start at night time and are four hours. Aurora tours start times in August 11:00pm, September - October 10:00pm, November - February 9:00pm March - April 10:00pm.

Special Notes
- Some tours require minimum booking of 4 people. In the event the tour have been canceled due to unsafe weather conditions or minimum booking numbers have not been achieved, the tour may be rescheduled for next available day or tour credit will be issued for use on any of our available tours.
- During peak season we can't guarantee room choice or number of beds in hotel rooms. We will reserve the best room choice offered by hotels. Some hotel rooms may require additional room upgrade price difference or may have different number of beds choices requested at time of booking.
- Multi-day packages cancellation policy:
- Cancellations received up to 17 days prior to arrival date are subject to $45 administrative fees.
- Cancellations received up to 7 days prior to arrival date will be charged 50% of the tour fare per person.
- Cancellations received up to 5 days prior to arrival date will be charged 70% of the tour fare per person and cancellations or a no show on the arrival date are 100% non-refundable.
- Early hotel and tours check-outs are 100% non-refundable.
- Tours cancellation policy:
- Cancellations received up to 5 days prior to tour date are 100% refundable.
- Cancellation received up to 4 days prior to tour will be charged 70% of the tour fare per person.
- Cancellations on tour date or a no show for tour are 100% non-refundable.
- Early tours check-outs are 100% non-refundable. If a tour is cancelled due to unsafe adverse weather conditions, the tour will be rescheduled to next available safe day or full refund will be issued.
- If a tour has been cancelled due to insufficient number of participants tour will be rescheduled to next available date or tour credit or refund will be issued.
- All children must be accompanied by tour participating parent or guardian of 18 years of age or older. We reserve the right to refuse unaccompanied child or children that are jeopardizing safety of other participants on tour.
- Private Group Tours: A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to confirm group booking and full payment is due 17 days prior to arrival.
- Amendments within 9 days prior to arrival may incur a charge.
- Gift Voucher Policy Gift vouchers must be redeemed within 6 months from date of purchase.
- After 6 months voucher is non-redeemable.
- A minimum of 15 days advance notice is required to process hotel and tours reservations for gift voucher booking.
