Itinerary

Visit the famous Eagle's Nest! This retreat in the Berchtesgaden Alps was given to Hitler by Martin Bormann. Enjoy ample time to explore the building as well as enjoy beautiful views from atop the Kehlstein mountains. We will be traveling in the Obersalzberg area. Once used as a base for the Third Reich, Hitler, Goering and Bormann had property here. Board a special bus for an amazing journey up the 4-mile road to Eagle's Nest. Upon arrival, we'll take an elevator up 406 feet through the mountain and directly to Eagle's Nest. Originally given to Hitler by Martin Bormann as a 50th birthday present, Eagle's Nest was primarily used as a conference center. The building itself is a masterpiece perched 6,017 feet atop the Kehlstein mountains. There will be free time for you to explore the old conference room, dining area, small tea room and terraces with your guide explaining all the history relating to this fascinating area.

Hotel pick-up is included. For those not selecting hotel pick-up, please check in at Mirabellplatz 2, 5020 Salzburg, 15 minutes before the tour begins (at 8:30am).
