Otaru and Yoichi Day Tour from Sapporo: Hokkaido "On The Rocks"**Sites, Whiskey, and Beer Tasting!**

Today we take in the scenic coastal towns and storied breweries and distilleries of Yoichi, one of Japan's finest and most renowned whiskeys, and Otaru, one of Hokkaido's prettiest towns and home to the best sushi and the finest and oldest beer brewery in Japan! Leaving from Sapporo Station, we first head to the town of Yoichi on the local train, admiring the coastline of northern Hokkaido as we skirt along the shore. Upon arrival we visit and tour the Yoichi distillery and learn about the cultivated methods, and of course go for a round of tasting shortly thereafter. If you were cold from this winter, you will be feeling warmer by the end of part 1... Next we hop the train to Otaru, home of a scenic canal where we can enjoy the revitalized vistas of dockhouses and some of the best sushi in Japan (Otaru is renowned for this.) Generally, we will end at the Brewery on the canal and try a few of the different Otaru craft beers in the huge beer hall, the prettiest and oldest in all Japan! Concluding the beer and booze bonanza in the fresh air and ocean winds of Hokkaido, we will train back over to Sapporo where will you end your tour in time for mid afternoon!
