Itinerary

Summer itinerary - April to October 7:15am - Depart Dublin We meet at the Molly Malone statue on Suffolk Street. You will board our comfortable coach, meet our legendary guide and fellow adventurers, then head west out of Dublin. There are quaint villages, lush countryside, and even some castle ruins to see as we head towards Caherconnell Fort. You'll be crossing the width of Ireland this morning! 11:00am - Caherconnell Fort and Sheep Dog Show Arriving at Caherconnell Fort, you will have the opportunity to stroll around the well-preserved ring fort and take in its ancient history. If you're lucky, you might see a few archaeologists around unearthing more secrets of the fort. Next to the fort you will have the opportunity to experience a sheep dog demonstration by a local farmer, and learn all about sheep farming in Ireland. Watch these amazing dogs weave and turn the flock at the farmers command. 12:50pm - Lunch in Doolin (own expense) It's time for lunch, so we'll head to Doolin, a beautiful village famous for its traditional music on the edge of the Atlantic. We usually go to Fitzpatrick's Pub where the seafood is particularly good. If you like seafood, the food should leave you very satisfied. If you are not a fan of seafood, there are plenty of other options available (own expense). 02:00pm - Cliffs of Moher - 1-Hour Boat Tour After lunch we head to Doolin harbour just a couple of minutes away with towering views of the Cliffs of Moher at sea level. We'll board our trusty vessel and take a boat ride along the base of the cliffs for one hour, taking in spectacular cliff views from the ocean! The cliffs rise high above you – imposing natural formations surrounded by the dramatic and lush landscape that Ireland is known for. 03:15pm - Clifftop Walk Not only will you experience the cliffs from the sea but you will also get to walk the cliff tops to view the Cliffs of Moher from their iconic standpoint. You will have access to the visitors center, where you will learn about the history, flora, fauna, and geology of the area. We'll start our journey back to Dublin at 4:00pm. 08:00pm - Arrive in Dublin Winter Itinerary - November to February Join us on a unique tour taking you to some of Ireland’s best loved sites. Take in dramatic vistas, see megalithic ruins, ancient burial sites and of course the world famous, Cliffs Of Moher. The cliffs are 8km long and offer panoramic views which are simply captivating. Stroll along the cliff tops and marvel at this natural wonder. The visitors center offers a short presentation about the cliffs, the surrounding area and history. Visit Corcomroe Abbey, built in the 12th century build from the limestone of the Burren region. Experience Ireland’s premier cave system at Ailwee Caves in the heart of the Burren and visit the 5000 year old burial tomb at Poulnabrone Dolmen before visiting Doolin, one of the most loved villages in the west. The highlight of the tour will of course end with the dramatic Cliffs Of Moher which in past times people thought to be the edge of the world. 07:15am - Depart Dublin We meet at the Molly Malone statue on Suffolk Street (map is linked on our booking page). You'll be crossing the width of Ireland this morning! 10:30am - 12th Century Corcomroe Abbey Visit the beautiful Corcomroe Abbey in the heart of the Burren built from the traditional limestone of the area. It was founded by Cistercian monks around 1195. The church consists of a nave with an aisle on the south side. It appears that it was intended to construct a similar aisle on the north side of the nave, but this may never have been completed. The church is surrounded by high limestone hills in what is a breathtaking landscape. 11:10am - Ailwee Caves The Ailwee Caves in the heart of the Burren is Ireland’s premier caves system and a real treat for anyone who enters. The cave system is the largest in Ireland and has a treasure chest of both stalactites and stalagmites. This is a spectacular guided tour into this underground world that will amaze you at every corner. 12:10pm - Pounabrone Dolmen Not everyday do you get to see a 5000 year old burial tomb, even older than the Pyrmids! This stop at Pounabrone Tomb or dolmen will get you up close to a structure build by man 3600 BC ! The site was excavated in 1986 and produced human remains 16 adults and children with some artifacts. 01:15pm - Lunch in Doolin (own expense) It's time for lunch, so we head to Doolin - a beautiful village famed for its traditional music on the edge of the Atlantic. We usually go to Fitzpatrick’s Pub where the seafood is particularly good. If you like seafood, the food should leave you very satisfied. Don’t worry if you are not a fan of seafood, there are plenty of other options available. 02:15pm - Top of the Cliffs Walk Now you will get to walk the cliff tops to view the Cliffs of Moher from its iconic standpoint. You will have access to the visitors center to learn about the history of the local area, the flora, fauna and geology. The Cliffs Of Moher is Ireland’s most popular natural site and once you stand looking at this awesome natural wonder you’ll understand why ! 07:45pm - Arrive in Dublin
