From the Hapuna Heliport at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, we'll take off to experience the fiery lava vents of the Big Island's active volcano, Kilauea! The intensity of the live volcanic landscape will surely take your breath away. This is just one of the unique sights you'll find on an island boasting 11 out of 13 climate zones present on Earth. Let our Black Beauties whisk you through the hidden tropical valleys of the Kohala mountains, alive with dozens of roaring waterfalls, and lift you above the beautiful rainforest of the Hamakua coast.

Tips

This tour takes off before 8:30 a.m. and after 2:00 p.m. Please choose your preferred flight time (morning or afternoon) when you make your reservation. The local agency will assign a time after the reservation. We offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off service on the Big Island from the following properties: Four Seasons, Hilton Waikoloa, Marriott Waikoloa, Fairmont Orchid, Mauna Lani Bay and Mauna Kea. If you need pick-up service, please also leave a message when you make your reservation.

Special Notes

Helicopter weight and balance changes with every flight because of passenger weight, pilot weight and length of flight (fuel weight). It is important that we have an accurate body weight from every passenger. FAA regulations require all passengers and their carry-on items to be weighed at the time of check-in. If a standard airline seat belt is too small or you weigh more than 240 pounds, you may be required to purchase a comfort seat on our FX STAR. If you are between 240-290 lbs., we recommend open seating on the WhisperSTAR. Over 290 lbs. may require a comfort seat in our WhisperSTAR. Call us for more information.

A portable lifting devise is available for those FX STAR customers needing special assistance. Please advise of any special requests.

Customers should not scuba dive within 24 hours prior to the helicopter tour departure time.

Check-in is minimum 30 minutes prior to your tour departure time. For your safety and comfort, hats and oversized bags are not permitted on the flight line or in the helicopter. Please leave these items in your automobile. Please bring your photo I.D.

Helicopters do not fly any specific routes and has many sights within the area of a described tour that we intend to visit during a tour. Sights may vary due to weather. Flight times are estimates and may vary a few minutes.

Please call us at least 48-hours prior to the flight date to reconfirm your reservation, meeting location and time.

Please wear a dark colored shirt to reduce glare on the plexiglass windows if taking photos.
