In the morning, we'll drive down to Plymouth and take an Express Ferry from Plymouth to Provincetown. The ride to Provincetown is about 1 and a half hours. We'll walk around the town and enjoy the great weather.
After a full day, we will return on the ferry to Plymouth and subsequently drive back to Boston, where the tour will come to an end.
Express Ferry: Take the Express Route to Provincetown and get there in half the time it would take to drive. Enjoy a narrated tour of historic Plymouth Harbor, followed by a fast, comfortable ride across Cape Cod Bay (admission not included).
Pilgrim Hall Museum: In 1824, first opened its doors as showcase of Plymouth’s unique history. It is the oldest public museum in the country and America’s museum of Pilgrim possessions. Pilgrim Hall’s extraordinary collection of 17th century artifacts, some of which actually came on the Mayflower, illuminates the story of early Plymouth Colony (admission not included).
Provincetown: Located at the very tip of the Cape Cod peninsula, Provincetown, Massachusetts is a historical beach town popular with tourists from all over the world. The pilgrims on the Mayflower landed in this located back in 1620.
Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum: This 250+-foot-tall bell tower in Provincetown, MA is the tallest all-granite building in the United States. It was constructed in 1910 as a commemoration of the Pilgrims who first landed at Cape Cod, MA in 1620. Tourists from around the world visit Provincetown to climb the monument, and view the Provincetown Museum at its base. The monument commemorates the Pilgrims, and the museum pays tribute to Provincetown's vibrant and historic maritime past (admission not included).
Dune Tour: You will tour in the Provincetown Cape Cod National Seashore protected lands, the dunes stretching as far as you can see with wispy beach grass, dark green pine trees and deep red beach plums. You will travel through the majestic dunes where your guide points out the “dune shacks” where famous artists and writers became inspired (admission not included).
