Itinerary

This popular Segway tour is perfect for both those new to the city and San Francisco veterans! For beginners, this 3-hour tour is a great introduction to all of the sites you've read about. For the veterans, we're positive you'll learn new facts and stories about San Francisco that you've never heard before. And we're sure you'll both agree that riding a Segway is the best way to see the City by the Bay. Fisherman's Wharf This colorful waterfront area boasts many working fishing boats, Dungeness crab and the famous San Francisco sourdough bread. The famous Pier 39 and its few hundred sea lions is located here as well. Views of the Golden Gate Bridge Completed in 1937, the Golden Gate Bridge is San Francisco's most iconic landmark. The bridge is 8,981 feet long and connects San Francisco with Marin County and Sausalito. Ghirardelli Square Domingo Ghirardelli purchased the entire city block for the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company in 1893. One can enjoy shops, restaurants and treats from the famous soda fountain. Hyde Street Pier Hyde Street Pier was the principle ferry terminal for automobiles before the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge. Today, it is home of the world's largest collection of historic ships, America's only floating National Maritime Historic Park. Marina District Geologically speaking, the Marina is one of the younger neighborhoods in San Francisco. Originally a mixture of marshland, dunes, and water, the Marina was transformed after the 1906 earthquake and fire. Some of the neighborhood is built upon rubble from that quake and fire, and some upon land created to host the 1915 Panama Pacific Exposition. Nestled between Fort Mason and the Presidio, The Marina District is a wonderful place for a leisurely ride with beautiful views of the Palace of Fine Arts, the Golden Gate Bridge, as well as unique residential homes. Spreckels Mansion High on a hill in Pacific Heights, the grand Spreckels Mansion sits on nearly half a block of city property with an unobstructed view of the bay. The home was completed in 1913 for Adolf "Sugar Daddy" Spreckels whose fortune was in the sugar business, and his unforgettable wife, Alma. From the quaint Cow Hollow neighborhood north of Pacific Heights, you will take in the view of the gorgeous Spreckels Mansion on the hill while hearing stories of the interesting people who have lived in this exquisite residence over the years. Palace of Fine Arts The only remaining palace of the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition, the Palace of Fine Arts is the highlight of the Marina District. At the foot of this beautiful structure is a lovely lagoon, home to a handful of resident swans.
