11-Day Barcelona to London Tour: Spain | France | Switzerland | England**Barcelona - El Prat Airport Pick-up Service**

Welcome to Barcelona!  Upon entering the arrivals hall at Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN), a driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Our guide will be ready to welcome you and will provide the necessary information.

Today we'll get to know Barcelona, an impressive city right on the Mediterranean. Our visit includes an informative city tour with a local expert, to the historic center with its Gothic quarter dating back to the Middle Ages. Then we'll visit the area where the Olympic Games took place, and La Sagrada Familia, the magnificent basilica designed by architect Gaudi (admission not included). In the late afternoon we'll drive to the north of Catalonia for a stroll through Girona's beautiful historical center. Its colorful houses stand out, as well as the old Jewish quarter and Cathedral.

Through March 31, 2020 We cross the border into France, stopping in Nimes, an important city in the Roman Empire. Concerts and bullfights still take place in the 2,000 year-old amphitheater here. Then we drive onward to the impressive Pont du Gard, the UNESCO-listed Roman aqueduct. Later in the afternoon we'll visit Mirmande, an immaculately preserved Provencal village with amazing views over the Rhone Valley. Accommodations for the evening are near Grenoble. Effective April 01, 2020 We leave Spain and cross the border into France, traversing Provence. We'll stop in Arles, a UNESCO World Heritage city where we will see the Roman theatre and Romanesque churches. Time for a stroll and lunch (own expense). We also include admission to Carrieres de Lumieres, an impressive display of art, image, and sound. In the late afternoon, we'll make a special side trip to La Garde-Adhemar, an immaculately preserved Provencal village, with impressive views of the Rhone valley. Overnight accommodations are in Chambery.

In the morning we depart for Switzerland. Our first stop: Geneva, for a panoramic tour of the major highlights here including the UN headquarters, the Flower Clock, and the iconic Jet d'Eau. Afterwards we'll drive to Montreux for an included interior tour of Chillon Castle, followed by a visit to the Cailler Chocolate Factory in Gruyeres, chocolate tasting included! Accommodations for the evening are in Gstaad.

Today experience the Swiss Alps firsthand as we drive through Interlaken and onward to Grindelwald, where we will take the cable car up to the scenic Grindelwald-First recreation area. Lunch at the top is included in your package. Afterward we will drive to Lucerne for a leisurely stroll through Old Town. Accommodations for the evening are in or near Zurich.

Today we embark upon a scenic trip to Bern, capital of the Swiss confederation. Free time for a stroll through Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterward we drive to Paris, arriving in the late evening.

We'll begin our experience with a guided tour of the main boulevards and breathtaking attractions of Paris. After seeing the highlights, we'll visit the monumental Eiffel Tower and climb up to the second floor of this remarkable giant for stunning views of the city. We'll end the day with a cruise on the River Seine. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore the city on your own. In the evening we'll head to the Latin Quarter, where you may choose from a great selection of restaurants for dinner (own expense).

Before saying farewell to Paris we'll enjoy some free time at center of the city, near the Louvre Museum for some free time and self-guided exploration. If you wish we can accompany you to Benlux, one of the most prestigious perfumeries in Paris (own expense). At around 5:30pm we'll bid adieu to Paris and make our way to Rouen.

In the morning we'll take a stroll through Rouen to admire the magnificent cathedral and ancient streets of the historic center. After this we travel to the north of France, boarding the ferry at Calais crossing the English Channel to Dover. Then we'll resume our journey by coach to Canterbury, the religious capital of England with an attractive historic center. Continuing to London, we'll arrive with ample time to see the Tower Bridge lit up at dusk. You will also be given time for dinner in one of the many restaurants offering a variety of cuisines (own expense) before we return to the hotel for the evening.

Today, get to know London on a locally guided tour which will lead you to the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace, where, depending on the season, you just might see the Changing of the Guard. If you wish, later on, you can go on an optional ride on the London Eye (own expense). At 5:00pm, after your allotted free time, we'll provide transfers to Brick Lane, a London area brimming with life, art galleries, food stalls, and ethnic restaurants.

After breakfast, our lovely tour will come to an end and we'll say farewell.
