4-Day Italian Lakes Holiday Package from Como / Milan

Transfer to the hotel on your own. Meet the rest of the participants. Dinner and overnight. Effective March 19, 2020: A driver will greet you at the arrivals hall at Milan Malpensa Airport, and transfer you to the first night's hotel in Como. Please provide your flight details well in advance so that we can arrange the shared transfer accordingly. You may also proceed directly to the first night's hotel in Como. Earliest check-in is 2:00pm.

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy some time to visit the city of Como. At the scheduled time, depart by public ferry for a marvelous day trip to Bellagio. First stop: Bellagio, at the top of the Larian triangle, on the promontory that divides the Como branch from that of Lecco. Both the historic center situated at a higher level dominated by the Romanesque Basilica Of San Giacomo and the more recent arcade lakefront are all preserved. Among the aristocratic villas let's remember Villa Serbelloni, first castle, then country residence and transformed into villa at the end of the 15th century. Later once again restructured in the 17th and turned into a hotel during the last decade of the 19th century, it is presently appointed headquarters of conventions and study tours. The park - the lake's largest - extends all over the entire promontory to the small town's mount with a splendid view onto the two branches of the Lake. Then embark again to Cernobbio: an important center for tourism situated at the foot of Monte Bisbino. At 1,325 meters, the summit of the mountain offers a magnificent panorama of the Lake. Above all, this small town is celebrated for the grandiose Villa d'Este, the residence of Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio designed by Pellegrino Tibaldi. Situated on the lake with a splendid view, the villa has a spacious Italian-style garden with a famous perspective boulevard, rising to the top of hills lined with cypress trees and fountains, making it one of Italy's most beautiful Renaissance roads.

Buffet breakfast at hotel. Today we will visit Stresa on the western flank of thin, wispy Lake Maggiore. Visit the little town and enjoy some free time to gaze at the lake and the Alps in the background. Lake Maggiore, the second largest lake in Italy, is the border between two regions in Italy: Lombardy and Piedmont. During the ferry ride your guide will point out landmarks and points of interest. Be awestruck at the beauty of islands such as the verdant Isola Madre. We'll stop first at Isola dei Pescatori, the Island of the Fishermen. Take some time to explore the island on your own, perambulating the narrow streets, or simply sitting down to enjoy a coffee. The second stop is Isola Bella, where you'll find the Borromean Palace, a beautiful Baroque structure from the 17th century. Explore the gardens and study the ornate facade, or perhaps wander around town and do some shopping. From there the ferry will return to Stresa, where we'll board the minibus and make our way back to Como.
