Take the train from Zurich Airport to Lucerne, where you will switch to the Luzern–Interlaken Express: an unforgettable journey deep into the heart of Switzerland. The two-hour train ride will take you along the shores of crystal-clear lakes, past romantic waterfalls, and over the magnificent Brunig mountain pass. Interlaken lies in the Bernese Oberland on an alluvial plain between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. This popular destination is overlooked over by the three mighty mountains: Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. Your journey along the GoldenPass Line continues. Along the shores of Lake Thun you will reach the Simmen valley with Zweisimmen and Gstaad. Your journey then takes you through the wild and romantic Pays d'Enhaut with the picturesque Chateau d'Oex and Montbovon villages, then through a tunnel, opening up to a panoramic view of Lake Geneva and Montreux. Rail journey from Montreux to Zermatt. For the rest of the day you can admire the famous Matterhorn from the village, or, for an even closer view of the Matterhorn, take the Gornergrat train to the lookout station of the same name (self-guided, own expense). In the morning, take the world-famous Glacier Express to St. Moritz. The train takes you over the Oberalp pass (2033 m) and through the impressive Rhine gorge. Accommodations for the evening are in St. Moritz.

Board the Bernina Express at St. Moritz station and enjoy one of the most impressive scenic rail journeys Switzerland has to offer. Climbing over the spectacular Bernina pass to more than 2,253 meters above sea level, you will pass snow-covered mountain peaks and glaciers, then descend towards Poschiavo and Brusio. After traveling over spiral viaducts and through winding tunnels, you will reach Tirano in Italy, the end of the Bernina line. There you will change to the Bernina Express Bus, which will take you onwards to Lugano. Accommodations for the evening are in Lugano.

On the Gotthard Panorama Express you will travel from the Mediterranean south to the traditional heart of Switzerland. The journey takes you along the spectacular Gotthard route. You will travel in the 1st class panorama carriage from Lugano to Fluelen. Passengers will be accompanied in the panorama rail car by a travel guide. From Fluelen you will take a boat ride over Lake Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne.

Enjoy the beautiful 2.5-hour rail journey on the Voralpen-Express connecting Central and Eastern Switzerland. Overnight stay in St. Gallen.

You rail ticket includes one more single train trip from St. Gallen back to Zurich Airport in 2nd Class. You may opt to stay in St. Gallen and continue your Switzerland adventure. If you do so, please note your will forgo the included train transfer to Zurich Airport.
