Top of the Rock Observation Deck is perched 70 stories above at Rockefeller Center and offers a 3-floors of panoramic, 360-degree views unequaled anywhere else in New York City. Rockefeller, Jr. first opened the Observation Deck atop 30 Rockefeller Plaza more than 80 years ago, to give something back to New Yorkers - a place to appreciate and celebrate the city. Now you too can enjoy the view and appreciate the history! Upon entering, visitors are greeted by the elegant, 14,000 piece Swarovski crystal chandelier, Joie. The exhibit hall on our mezzanine features a retrospective on the history of Rockefeller Center, including a thrilling 'beam walk' and state-of-the-art theater with 3 short films covering the Center’s historic 10-year construction during the Great Depression in the 1930s. Then, ascend to the Top in only 50 seconds with a ride up 850 feet (260 m) on the Sky Shuttle. Breathtaking views stretch for miles in every direction as you explore 3 floors with expansive, unobstructed indoor and outdoor viewing areas and decks. Feel like you are floating above Central Park as you take in views of New York's most famous landmarks including the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, George Washington Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, One World Trade Center, and the Statue of Liberty. Top off your visit on the 70th floor, a completely open-air deck! Operating Times: Daily from 8:00 am to 12:00 midnight, with the last elevator going up at 11:00 pm.
