Located on the shores of the Laguna Tesora and within the tourist area of Boca de Guama, the Villa Guama is a small resort village designed to mimic a Taino village. The Taino were the original inhabitants of Cuba before the invasion by the Spanish. The resort is composed of six small islands connected by wooden bridges and include cabins, a bar, a restaurant, and swimming pool. Also, the village is considered a perfect spot for bird-watching in the early morning.
