At 20 feet deep, Thor's Well appears to suck the Pacific Ocean into itself with each passing wave. A quick drive from Yachats, Oregon, Thor's Well is a natural depression in the ocean's rock floor just off the Oregon coast. Best seen during high tides, the well swallows the ocean waves as they crash around it and creates a calm pool just past its ridge.
