The Terracotta Warriors are part of the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, located northeast of Xi'an. One of the most remarkable archaeological discoveries of the 20th century, this vast burial complex was unearthed in 1974 and boasts more than 8,000 life-size terracotta warriors, 130 chariots, and 150 cavalry horses. Three main pits have been excavated, showcasing different ancient military formations.
