The dramatic 215-foot tall waterfall is located in Ulysses, New York in Taughannock Falls State Park in the Finger Lakes Region. Taughannock Falls is the tallest single waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains. Its name means "great fall in the woods" in the Native American Algonquian language.
