Santa Clara is the capital city of the Cuban province of Villa Clara, and situated close to the center of Cuba. In the middle of the city is the Parque Vidal, one of the city’s most lively urban spaces. It features a stature of local philanthropist Marta Abreu, and often hosts outdoor musical performances. Santa Clara is also home to a mausoleum which houses the remains of Che Guevara. Santa Clara also features many other places of historical interest, such as the Train Museum, which commemorates the site of the last battle of the Cuban Revolution.
