The main feature of Salt Lake City's 10-acre Temple Square is this ornate structure that is the largest Church of Latter-day Saints temple in the world and took 40 years to complete. The Salt Lake Mormon Temple was dedicated in 1893 by LSD Church President Wilford Woodruff and is a little more than 253,000 square feet in area and 222 feet tall.
