A neighborhood of Granada, Sacromonte rests atop Roman catacombs originally used for mining. Named in honor of the nearby Sacromonte Abbey, the neighborhood is home to Granada's growing Roma population and features only one main street, Camino del Sacromonte. Somewhat isolated from the rest of Granada, Sacromonte is popular among tourists who wish to see authentic flamenco shows and view take photos of the nearby Alhambra.
