This Normandy coast headland with a 100-foot cliff is between the D-Day beaches of Omaha and Utah. Pointe-du-Hoc's German fort was overtook by the United States Army during World War II's D-Day on June 6, 1944 as the rangers climbed the cliffs. German bunkers and bomb craters are still on the site as is a memorial museum.

Guided Tour of Normandy D-Day Beaches Day Trip from Paris with transport

A good value

This tour was a long but interesting trip. Our guide was very informative. The worst part was having to be at the meeting place at 6:30 a.m. The bus was comfortable. I would have liked to have stopped in Bayeux to see the famous tapestry.
