Centered around the iconic Osaka Castle, originally built in the late 16th century by warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the park covers over 100 hectares and is a favorite spot for both locals and travelers. The castle tower, rebuilt with modern museum facilities, offers exhibits on samurai history and panoramic views of Osaka from its top floor. The surrounding park is especially famous during spring when thousands of cherry blossom trees transform the grounds into one of Japan’s best hanami (flower viewing) spots. In autumn, the foliage adds another layer of seasonal beauty. Visitors can stroll through gardens, moats, and stone walls, or attend cultural events and concerts held at Osaka-jo Hall within the park.
