The National Palace was originally the palace for the ruling class of Mexico since the Aztec empire and is currently used as a government building. Moctezuma II was the ninth ruler of the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan, which was originally the city of Mexico City. The New Houses were five inter-connected palaces that's bricks were used to build the current National Palace.
