Termas De Cacheuta Spa Day Trip From Mendoza

Great Day In Termas De Cacheuta!

I came here by reading the trip advisor reviews. I contacted online the travel agency tangol and Mateo was very helpful on the booking process. Ones in Mendoza i was picked up on time. The staff in the hot Spring waters were nice but their level of english could have been better. The sauna, and different hot pools just rocked! I got very relaxed when i got back to the city. Highly recommended.

FAQs about Mendoza Tours

What is the best time of year to visit Mendoza for wine tourism?

The best time to visit Mendoza for wine tourism is during the harvest season, from late February to April, when vineyards are busiest and offer immersive grape-stomping events and tastings. Spring (September–November) also provides ideal weather and blooming landscapes. Avoid winter (June–August), as many wineries scale back tours.

How do I get from Buenos Aires to Mendoza, and what are my transportation options?

Travel from Buenos Aires to Mendoza via a 1h 45m direct flight to Governor Francisco Gabrielli International Airport (MDZ), the fastest option. Alternatively, take a 14–16h bus ride or drive along Ruta 7 for scenic views. Flights are recommended for time efficiency; buses suit budget travelers seeking Pan-American Highway vistas.

Is the Tourist Metrocard (Metrocard Turismo) worth it for getting around Mendoza city?

Yes, the Metrocard Turismo offers unlimited rides on city buses for 3 or 7 days, making it cost-effective for tourists exploring central districts like Centro, Guaymallén, and Godoy Cruz. It covers key attractions including Plaza Independencia, Costanera, and proximity to bike rental hubs. Purchase at kiosks or online via SETEM.

Are there altitude concerns for travelers visiting Mendoza, and how can I prepare?

Mendoza sits at 740m (2,428ft) above sea level—low enough that altitude sickness is rare. However, excursions to the Andes, such as to Aconcagua or Uspallata, reach over 3,000m. Stay hydrated, avoid alcohol for the first 24h, and ascend gradually. Most city activities pose no risk, but monitor symptoms at higher elevations.
