This compact park on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica is best known for its beautiful beaches and hiking trails. Due to agriculture and logging, Manuel Antonio is one of only two major areas of tropical rainforest left along the entire Pacific coast of Central America. It is famous for its hiking trails, coral reef and beaches, which are lined with lush forest and offer excellent snorkeling. Rare squirrel monkeys, sloths, colorful crabs, toucans and iguanas and make their home in the park and contribute its startling biodiversity. Just be careful the monkeys don’t steal your lunch!
