Roughly 92 square km wide, the Laguna del Tesoro houses the Boca de Guama tourist attraction and is passed through on boat tours to the Guama Village. Known as the "Treasure Lake," the lake supposedly houses the treasure of the native Taino people who hid it away from Spanish Conquistidors. Popular among fisherman who live nearby, the lake is stocked with bass.
