Founded on the Miracle Mile in Los Angeles, the LA County Museum of Art is the largest museum in the western United States and features more than 150,000 pieces of art of varies styles and ages. Estabilish in 1961, it has expanded over the years to feature larger and larger collections. Besides the wide variety of exhibitions, the building hosts permanent art installations, including the Restrospective Column by sculptor Robert Graham, Urban Lights by Chris Burden, and Levitated Mass by Michael Heizer.
