The Merritt Island, Florida destination has been the site of every American human space expedition since 1968 and currently oversees rocket launches at the nearby Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. John F. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex opened in 1967 and features exhibits, spacecrafts, space relics, astronaut encounters, a simulated space ride, an astronaut training experience, a rocket garden and many tours.
