Best Hollywood Sign Tours from Nueva York

The iconic symbol of show business with 50-foot white letters sits atop Mount Lee in the Santa Monica Mountains. The sign was originally erected to say "Hollywoodland" in 1923 to promote a housing plan for a 1 1/2 years, but remained as Hollywood became the Film Capitol of the World. The "land" was taken off when the sign was being repaired in 1949 to represent Hollywood and the real estate development. Tourists scour Los Angeles neighborhoods to get the best view and picture of the legendary sign.
