Best Goldfield Ghost Town Vacation Packages

Advertised as "Phoenix Arizona's Only Authentic Ghost Town," this attraction features the Mammoth Gold Mine, 18th Century Old West buildings, a gauge train, period costumes, horses and wagons, and gun fight shows. Gold was discovered in Goldfield in 1892 bringing throngs of people to the town located between the Superstition and Goldfield mountains. The town developed quickly containing a general store, school, post office, brewery, blacksmith shop, butcher shop and three saloons. Then when the gold was gone, so were the people in 1898 making Goldfield a ghost town.
