Situated right in the middle of Niagara Falls between Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls, this Niagara River island offers fantastic views of the falls especially from Terrapin Point located on its northwestern edge. Goat Island, formerly called Iris Island, received its current name because local John Stedman used to keep goats on it. Bridges connect the island to the mainland and nearby Luna Island.
