Opening in 2008 at Gettysburg National Military Park, Gettysburg Museum & Visitor Center features Civil War relics such as firearms, uniforms, cannons and the famed Gettysburg Cyclorama painting portraying "Pickett's Charge." It offers guides on how to tour the park, the film "A New Birth of Freedom," multimedia displays and interactive exhibits as well as a book store, resource room and refreshment saloon. The 139,000-square-foot center replaced the former Gettysburg National Museum.
