This impressive monument to the only United States president who served four terms illustrates Franklin Delano Roosevelt's 12-year presidency in four rooms and 10 bronze sculptures. The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial is accented by waterfall and stones engraved with his famous quotations such as "The only thing thing we have to fear is fear itself." The monument dedicated in 1997 by President Bill Clinton was designed by Lawrence Halprin and contains artworks by Leonard Baskin, Neil Estern, Robert Graham, Thomas Hardy, and George Segal.
