One of Ireland's most spectacular sights are these greener than green cliffs towering up to 702 feet above the Atlantic Ocean and running five miles in The Burren region of County Clare. The Cliffs of Moher were named after the the former Fort Moher on Hag's Head. The cliffs' highest point is near O'Brien's Tower, which was constructed in 1835 as an observation tower. More than one million visitors come to the Cliffs of Moher every year. The cliffs have been featured in several movies including "Ryan's Daughter," "The Princess Bride," "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" and "Leap Year."
