The Chicago neighborhood on the city's South Side contains a large number of Chinese-owned restaurants, banks, stores, grocers and other businesses. Chicago's Chinatown began developing in the late 1800s with many Chinese American or immigrants re-locating from the West Coast of the United States. Notable sites are Chinatown Square, Chinatown Mural, Chinese American Museum of Chicago, Pui Tak Center and Ping Tom Memorial Park.
