This historic Chicago theater is stunning and glamorous designed in French Baroque style with an Arc de Triomphe replica above its marque and a grand staircase modeled after Paris' Opera House. The Chicago Theatre opened in 1921 as the "Wonder Theatre of the World" costing $4 million and was designed by Cornelius and George Rapp. Other notable features is its Grand Lobby designed like the Royal Chapel in Versailles, France and its almost six-story high "Chicago" vertical sign. The 3,600-seat auditorium hosts concerts, events and tours.
