These Alaskan hot springs were discovered back in 1905 by brothers Robert and Thomas Swan after hearing reports of steam rising from the area. Chena Hot Springs grew into a resort throughout the next few years and has been a popular relaxation destination ever since. It uses geothermal energy and is home to an ice museum.
