Best Casa Amataller Tours & Trips

This architectural masterpiece was designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch in neo-Gothic style with Germanic features. The architect was asked by the Amatller family in 1898 to renovate the 1875 building. Casa Amatller along with Casa Batllo and Casa Lleo Morera make up "Manzana de la Discordia," or the "Block of Discord" in Barcelona. There are occasionally exhibits displayed on the ground floor and the public can visit the caretaker's office.

FAQs about Casa Amataller Tours

How do I skip the line at Casa Amatller in Barcelona?

Purchase a timed-entry ticket online via the official Casa Amatller website or authorized partners like GetYourGuide. Tickets typically include audioguide access and allow direct entry at your booked time slot, minimizing wait times. Arrive 10 minutes early for a smooth check-in.

Is Casa Amatller wheelchair accessible?

Casa Amatller has limited accessibility. The ground-floor shop and exhibition area are wheelchair accessible, but the upper floors and rooftop terrace require climbing narrow, historic staircases and are not accessible to visitors with mobility impairments.

What is the best time of year to visit Casa Amatller?

Visit Casa Amatller between September and November or April to early June to avoid peak crowds. Summer months (July-August) are busiest. Early morning visits on weekdays offer shorter lines and better photo opportunities inside the architectural details.

Can I visit Casa Amatller with a Barcelona City Pass?

The Barcelona City Pass does not currently include Casa Amatller. However, it grants access to other major attractions like the Sagrada Família and Park Güell. Buy Casa Amatller tickets separately online for timed entry, and combine your visit with neighboring Casa Batlló and La Pedrera.
