Founded in 1244 by Margaret of Constantinopel, the Beguinage served as the central home for pious women who served and ministered to the poorer communities of Bruge. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Beguinage is composed of a series of white colored apartments and a tranquil convent garden.
