Points of interest are the Mount Vernon Trail, Lee-Fendall House, George Washington Masonic National Memorial and Observation Deck, Market Square, Lone Confederate Soldier Statue, Christ Church, Gadsby's Tavern and Jones Point Lighthouse. George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate is located just outside the city.
