4-Day In-Depth Italy Holiday: Rome to Venice**Tourist Class Accommodations | UNESCO World Heritage**

Prepare yourself for a fantastic 4 day Italy tour to experience the rich culture, architecture, and cuisine of Italy! We'll pick you right up from Rome in our deluxe coach in the early morning and begin our journey, driving to the walled city of Assisi. Built in the Middle Ages, this historic city is filled with ancient wonders and unmatched architecture. We'll have free time for lunch (own expense) and to explore here. We highly suggest visiting the Basilica of St. Francis, home to masterpieces crafted by Giotto and Cimabue. Next, we'll head further north to Sienna, one of the most popular cities in Italy and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From here we'll arrive at the stunning city of Florence.

Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast this morning before we begin our exploration of the Cradle of the Renaissance - and trust us, you'll need it. Today we'll dig deep into Florence's rich culture, amazing sites, and fascinating history. Also known as the Athens of the Middle Ages, Florence expanded rapidly as a free Comune and trade hub for Europe. This prosperity allowed patrons and artists to flourish during the Renaissance. You can see evidence of this prosperity in the enchanting monuments and architecture, such as the iconic Duomo. Our tour will lead us from this famous attraction to the Campanile tower and the Baptistery, home to the spectacular bronze doors where Michelangelo imagined the Gates of Paradise. Next, we'll travel into the heart of the city where we'll encounter Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo della Signoria (also known as Palazzo Vecchio), and the Basilica of Santa Croce. After a filling lunch in a local Tuscan restaurant in Piazza Santa Croce, you'll be free to explore the cobblestone streets of Florence on your own or join us for an optional excursion to Pisa (own expense), one of the four main historical Marine Republics of Italy.

Today we'll have one final breakfast in Florence before saying farewell to this immaculate city and traveling to Bologna. Another capitvaing Italian city, we'll have the chance to explore its elegant lanes and plazas. We'll walk from Piazza Malpighi to Piazza del Nettuno and Piazza Maggiore (Neptune square and Major square, respectively) in the heart of the city. From here our walking tour will lead us past King Renzo's Palace, Palazzo Podesta and the Basilica of San Petronio, one of the largest of its kind in the world. By the afternoon we'll be on the road again, traveling to Padua. Here we'll meet the world famous Sant’Antonio Basilica, one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in the Catholic world. By midday we'll arrive in Venice, one of the world's most romantic cities and undoubtedly the most beautiful city built by man!

Enjoy one final breakfast with your travel companions at the hotel before we end the tour and say farewell.
