Itinerary

The beauty of Peterhof Grand Palace rivals that of the Palace of Versailles, and in our opinion, far exceeds it. The Grand Palace was designed to be the centerpiece of Peter the Great's Russian Versailles. Inside, the palace is considerably more lavish. The fact that the interiors had to be almost entirely reconstructed after World War II has only made it that much more impressive. After the palace tour we'll proceed to the Lower Gardens dotted by numerous fountains. If you're lucky, you'll be there when the water is turned on and the fountains are in "full bloom." If you're hungry, you're more than welcome to have a quick lunch at one of the park cafes, or keep exploring with your guide. We'll regroup at 1:00pm to make the return trip to St. Petersburg. You should be back at your hotel by around 2:00pm.
