Today we'll enjoy a morning tour of Old Panama, the oldest European settlement on the Pacific coast of the Americas. With unusual mixture of Spanish, French and early American architectural styles decorating the streets, this area has been a UNESCO designated World Heritage site since 1997. We'll visit the La Catedral, El Palacio, Church of Saint of Francis of Assisi, Palacio Nacional, and Panama Canal Museum.
This afternoon we will tour the Canal Zone. The Panama Canal is considered one of the engineering wonders of the world. It has a longitude of 80 kilometers between the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean. The Canal links North America with South America, and the east continents to the west, providing the shortest and most effective road. Enjoy a tour at Miraflores Visitor Museum and see the lock in action when gigantic ships cross over from one ocean to the other.
Breakfast is included.
