Itinerary

This guided redwood forest tour from San Francisco takes you straight to Muir Woods National Monument, where you can fully experience this giant redwood forest. The tour features a morning crossing of the Golden Gate Bridge on your way to Muir Woods and a stop in the charming seaside town of Sausalito for lunch.
After entering serene Muir Woods, walk on the nature trail through the towering coastal redwoods protected by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1908, some over 250 feet tall.
Be on the lookout for northern spotted owls, deer, ladybugs, and 13 species of ferns that have lived here for more than 300 million years as you study the redwood canopy above you. Take a moment to enjoy the silence in Cathedral Grove.
From Muir Woods, your guide will take you to Sausalito, a seaside community full of charm and breathtaking views of San Francisco. On its bustling streets, you'll have time to browse the shops and find a lunch table with a view.
After our excursion in Sausalito, we will make our return trip to San Francisco with a stunning southbound jaunt across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
