Wailua Falls Map / Location

The stunning two-tiered 80-foot (some estimate between 100-200 feet) waterfall on the island of Kauai was prominently featured in the opening montage of the television show "Treasure Island" and is a beloved tourist destination. Wailua Falls, which flows into Wailua River, has a pool at the bottom and is surrounded by the flourishing tropical vegetation of the "Garden Isle." Ancient Hawaiian men used to prove their manhood by jumping off the top of the falls. This is not permitted today at the site as it is extremely dangerous.
