Stawamus Chief Map / Location

Overlooking the British Columbia town of Squamish is the Stawamus Chief Mountain, a towering granite dome that is considered sacred to the Squamish people. Standing in the Stawamus Chief Provincial Park, the mountain is over a 100 million years old and formed from magma over the ages before the upper layer was eroded to show the granite surface. Popular among hikers and rock climbers, the mountain hosts a variety of trails and features along its surface for visitors to discover.
